We are passionate about serving faculty and designing engaging learner experiences that unlock the potential of instructional technology. It’s in our name, it’s in our DNA, and we believe that great instructional design is critical for developing successful programs. We provide concierge, white-glove instructional design support to our faculty partners, bringing expertise, service, and project structure to bear and ensuring that faculty feel comfortable, informed, and in control throughout the process.
iDesign is currently looking for qualified instructional technologists to join our course development team. This is a part-time, 1099 contract position. This opening is for future project needs.
Are you that person?
What You'll Do
As the Instructional Technologist, you will work closely with several team members including Learning Architects, other Instructional Technologists, Quality Reviewers, Multimedia Editors, and Graphic Designers to ensure that the design and development of online learning support the vision of the partner and subject matter experts.
You will be responsible for working with the Learning Architect (LA) to build and set up the course within the learning management system (LMS) using HTML and CSS when applicable and depending on the assigned project. Some projects require strict adherence to a provided style guide. The Learning Architect collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to adapt content for online instruction, while you, the Instructional Technologist, focus on the build process.
Further, you will be responsible for building discussion boards, assignments, tests, and quizzes in the LMS, as well as making sure the course display is consistent throughout. You will also ensure all aspects of the coursework properly (hyperlinks, videos, 3rd party integrations). You will monitor new apps and technologies to see how they can be incorporated into the LMS.
If you are the right candidate, you will work remotely on a contract basis. iDesign recognizes that a quality workforce is paramount to our success. We provide professional development and internal advancement opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a flexible, on-demand schedule to work on projects.

Both parts of the application must be completed to be considered for the position.
